IRKUTSK, September 28 - RIA Novosti. The light attack aircraft Yak-130M can become a flying platform for launching loitering ammunition, test pilot of Yakovlev PJSC Alexander Guskov told reporters.

The Yak-130M is a modernized combat training aircraft with expanded combat capabilities, due to which it has actually become a light attack aircraft.

“Currently, we are working on the issue of having the Yak-130M aircraft carry loitering ammunition. That is, so that it can quickly deliver the ammunition to the desired point. Then the ammunition follows its own trajectory, fulfilling its task,” Guskov said.

Earlier, Dmitry Popov, deputy chief designer for the Yak-130 program at Yakovlev PJSC, said that the modernized Yak-130M aircraft received an expanded range of aircraft weapons, including laser- and satellite-guided guided bombs, short- and medium-range air-to-air missiles, FAB-120 unguided bombs and GSh-23L cannons.
