Fuel surcharges for domestic routes will increase starting from November 5

The reporter learned from a number of airlines that starting from November 5, 2026, the fuel surcharge collection standard for passenger transportation on domestic routes will be adjusted. Each adult passenger will be charged a fuel fee of 80 yuan for the flight segment below 800 kilometers (inclusive), and 140 yuan for each adult passenger for the flight segment above 800 kilometers, an increase of 30 yuan and 50 yuan respectively from before.

The details are as follows:

1. The standard for charging fuel surcharge for passenger transport on domestic routes is RMB 80 per passenger for segments up to 800 kilometers (inclusive); RMB 140 per passenger for segments above 800 kilometers.

2. Infants who enjoy 10% of the normal domestic civil aviation adult fare are exempt from fuel surcharge.

3. For children (including unaccompanied children), disabled revolutionary servicemen, people's policemen disabled in the line of duty, and disabled fire rescue personnel who purchase 50% of the ordinary domestic civil aviation adult fare in accordance with regulations, the fuel surcharge for passenger transportation is RMB 40 per passenger for segments up to 800 kilometers (inclusive); RMB 70 per passenger for segments above 800 kilometers.
