Japan's oldest person, Mizuga Shigeko, passed away at the age of 115

Even when she was over 80, she continued to practice medicine and contributed to regional medical care.

Kyodo News and Yomiuri Television (ytv) reported that Kachuan was born on May 28, 1911. According to the history of the Yamato-Koriyama City Medical Association, after graduating from Osaka Women's College of Medicine in 1934, she worked in the obstetrics and gynecology and internal medicine departments of Osaka Municipal Minami Civil Hospital, and then opened her practice in Yamato-Koriyama City in 1937.

The predecessor of Kansai Medical University was Osaka Women's College of Medical Sciences; Osaka Minami Civil Hospital later became the current Osaka Public University College of Medicine Hospital.

When He Chuan shared the secret of longevity before his death, he said, "There is no secret. I didn't do anything special. When I was working in the obstetrics and gynecology department, whether I was busy at night or during holidays, I just walked. This has become the source of my energy now."
