Lee Ki-jeong, president of the Korean Council for University Education, stated in the National Assembly Education Committee's audit of government affairs that the introduction of random numbering for admission numbers is difficult to apply to regular admissions due to technical difficulties, and said that they are in-depth reviewing strengthening public responsibility.

From the 2024 school year to the end of August this year, the number of new school violence cases reached 490, but measures against perpetrators appeared to remain at a minor level. Of the total measures, 77.7% were minor measures such as withholding student records, and only 9.8% were serious measures greater than suspension of attendance. Rep. Han Byeong-do emphasized that deliberation guidelines should be subdivided by type of participation and a victim protection system should be established.

Professor Hank Kumeling and Professor Paul Boselli, former presidents of Utrecht University, explained their reasons for withdrawing from university rankings in an interview with Yonhap News, criticizing global rankings for focusing only on the top 1% of universities and distorting the social impact of research. They said that competition in ranking indicators commercializes research and hinders open science, and that the Dutch government also supported universities through an evaluation protocol that emphasizes qualitative growth goals.

A total of 28 hacking incidents occurred at Seoul National University over the past six years, resulting in the leakage of 1,132 pieces of personal information. Department and laboratory systems were the main targets, and the school said it had completed security measures but had never requested an investigation from an investigative agency.

It was confirmed that on the day of the 2027 college entrance exam application failure incident, a warning was sent to the agency to focus on application deadlines. Rep. Ko Min-jung said she would thoroughly examine whether system management and proactive response were insufficient.

In the 2027 college admissions rolling recruitment, the number of applicants for local talent and local doctor system screening at local medical schools was counted at 15,775, an increase of 40.3% compared to the previous year, and Jongno Academy predicted that the increase in applicants will continue due to the expansion of medical school quota and the application of the 5-tier system for academic records.
