New Taipei congressman accused Li of having a bad attitude in the former Sichuan Coordination Committee, and his brother was involved in illegal development of Xiaoliuqiu land

New Taipei City Councilors Li Yuxiang and Zhuo Guanting mentioned in the general inquiry on the 11th that the 2012 Linkou District Office project involved the unauthorized occupation of private land surnamed Wang at land number 878 in the Jialin Section. Li Sichuan, the then deputy mayor and now the KMT mayoral candidate, had a "duck domination" attitude at the coordination meeting. The land owned by the landowner surnamed Wang in Xiaoliuqiu, Pingtung was also developed by Li Sichuan's brother Li Cifu for allegedly violating the Soil Conservation Law. Ms. Wang, the daughter of a landlord, said that her family had been involved in lawsuits for more than 10 years, and she couldn't bear it, so she had no choice but to lodge a complaint with the congressman. She only learned of the Pingtung case in 2017 when she received a notice from the Pingtung County Government.

In addition, Ms. Wang alleged that there were ancestral graves on the Xiaoliuqiu land and she found it unacceptable to be illegally developed. The reporter sought Li's response from the Sichuan Bidding Office and also asked whether the Bidding Office could provide a response from Li Cifu. Li Sichuan's bid responded earlier that Li Sichuan's attitude has always been consistent regarding the land incident related to Xiaoliuqiu in Pingtung. Anyone who commits illegal acts will be investigated in accordance with the law, without exception.

The original landowner of the case, Mr. Wang, has died of illness. Now his daughter, Ms. Wang, continues to work on the case. Ms. Wang, accompanied by Li Yuxiang, accepted media interviews today and made relevant accusations against the Linkou and Pingtung cases.

Regarding the Linkou case, Ms. Wang said that the land was originally owned by her father. He believed that the private land had been occupied, but his complaints were fruitless, so he had to fight many lawsuits and kept going to the court. Eventually, his father relapsed and passed away from cancer. Little did he know that after the court ruled that they won the case, "recently it happened again (referring to the relevant units recently asking the landlord to file an administrative lawsuit to clarify the nature of the land)", and some civil servants said, "I will return it to you after the lawsuit is won." Ms. Wang lamented that the court was gone, lawyer fees were spent, the petition was filed, and everything that needed to be done was done. She had no way to ask for help, so she found a 20-centimeter-thick document to complain to the congressman.

"I think it's bullying the current residents of the old street," said Ms. Wang. Of course the locals want construction, but that doesn't mean they want their land to be usurped and their rights wiped out. They don't ask the city government to do things illegally. "We shouldn't have to have what others don't have."

As for the Pingtung case, Ms. Wang pointed out that in 2017 she received a notice from the Pingtung County government and learned that the satellite photos there had mutated. At that time, her parents were busy dealing with the Linkou case. She went to Xiaoliuqiu and the county government to investigate, and the lawsuit was won. However, she still had difficulty understanding the matter and did not know why the person involved happened to be Li Sichuan's brother. Her family really couldn't accept it.

Li Yuxiang added that Li Sichuan's response was an understatement. The major decisions he made infringed on people's property and caused the second generation of landlords to continue to face lawsuits. He hoped that the current New Taipei City Mayor Hou Youyi would find out the truth as soon as possible and give a complete explanation to the landlords.
