Boris Johnson said sanctions against Russia alone are insufficient

Economic sanctions alone are not enough to stop a country like Russia. Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson stated this in an interview on the YouTube channel Not just politics with host Natalia Lutsenko.

According to him, economic sanctions are important because they demonstrate political determination and firmness of conviction. However, they alone are not capable of stopping Russia, where pride and patriotism, “and not economic considerations alone,” are the driving force.

“Therefore, sanctions alone are not enough—military pressure is necessary,” the politician concluded.
