CCTV news: The Central Meteorological Observatory will continue to issue typhoon blue warnings at 6 a.m. on September 5: Typhoon No. 24 "Korowan" this year is currently at tropical storm level. Its center is located on the eastern sea surface of the East China Sea (28.1 degrees north latitude, 126.5 degrees east longitude) about 240 kilometers north-northwest of Naha City, Ryukyu Islands at 5 a.m. on the 5th. The maximum wind force near the center is level 9. It is expected to move southward at a speed of 15-20 kilometers per hour, with little change in intensity.

From 8 a.m. on the 5th to 8 a.m. on the 6th, due to the combined influence of "Korowang" and cold air, there will be winds of level 6-7 and gusts of level 8-9 in the southern Yellow Sea, most of the East China Sea and the waters near the Diaoyu Islands, the ocean east of Taiwan, the Bashi Strait, the Yangtze River Estuary, and the coast of Zhejiang. Parts of the East China Sea have winds of level 8-9 and gusts of level 10-11.

Zhejiang Zhoushan Maritime Safety Administration launches level 3 emergency response to typhoon prevention

Affected by Typhoon "Korowang", at 18:00 on the 4th, Zhejiang Zhoushan Maritime Safety Bureau launched a level three emergency response to prevent typhoons. Up to now, all 56 water engineering projects in Zhoushan waters have been suspended, and 39 routes in the jurisdiction have been suspended due to wind and waves. As of September 3, nearly 4,000 outlying tourists have been safely evacuated from remote islands such as Huaniao, Shengshan, and Wolfberry.

It is expected that the wind along the coast of Zhoushan will reach gust level 10 on the 5th, and all water passenger routes in Zhoushan will be suspended. In addition, more than 1,200 fishing boats have returned to the port to take shelter from the wind. The local power department relies on the intelligent monitoring system to implement 24-hour remote monitoring of the submarine cable protection zone to prevent illegal anchoring of returning ships from damaging submarine cables and ensure the safety of electricity on all islands.

Fujian adjusts flood control emergency response to level three

The Fujian Provincial Defense Directorate adjusted the flood control emergency response to Level 3 at 17:30 on the 4th and maintained the Level 4 emergency response for typhoon prevention.
