In the Navigli area, one of the most characteristic and touristy areas of the city, a smell has also spread, not so much of petrol but of old oil.
However, the material is a small portion compared to that spilled on the Naviglio, where the Region, Municipality, Metropolitan City, Civil Protection and Villoresi Consortium have been working since last night.

We are intervening on the Darsena and in Gaggiano and we have closed the mouths of the irrigation ditches to protect the rice cultivations and the natural areas of the Southern Park. The monitoring will continue until the critical issue is completely overcome". The Lombardy Region is following, in conjunction with the bodies and subjects involved, the operations following the spill of an oily substance which occurred in the Naviglio Grande, in the Magenta area (Milan). Arpa Lombardia took samples of the substance, which were sent to the Agency's laboratories for the analyzes necessary to determine its exact nature. It will take a few days for the results to be available.
