Installation of absorbent barriers in the Naviglio in Milan to contain an alleged diesel stain

Even in Milan, not only in the hinterland municipalities, the installation of a barrier is underway to block the stain of presumed diesel fuel in the Naviglio. The operation of the Civil Protection of the Municipality of Milan, chaired by the councilor for land care Marco Granelli, is taking place at Canottieri to prevent the stain from reaching the Darsena.

"The quantities are large", wrote councilor Granelli on Facebook. "The metropolitan city, the Villoresi consortium that manages the Navigli, the Municipality of Milan with the environment and civil protection management of Milan are coordinating with the firefighters to try to stop the polluting wave. We have positioned absorbent barriers in Robecco, Gaggiano and now in Milan, in via Ludovico il Moro at n.25", added Granelli. "I am on site as councilor for civil protection, with environment and civil protection managers, and in coordination with the mayor and councilor Elena Grandi".
