Many schools in Tanzi and Daya Districts of Taichung City have promoted ball sports in recent years. City Councilors Wu Chengxian and Wu Jiande have long been concerned about the development of grassroots sports. They have joined hands with local enterprises Guanmeng Company and Junyi Construction to invest in public welfare, and have donated jerseys to support school teams for many years. Initially, we went to Qiao Zhong Elementary School, Tanzi Elementary School and Sanhe Elementary School again to donate dodgeball, handball, football and basketball jerseys so that students can wear brand new competition jerseys and strive for good results. The schools also gave certificates of appreciation in return to express their gratitude to businesses and people for their long-term support of campus sports.

Wu Chengxian said today that many of Taiwan's outstanding sports players are trained from elementary schools. When schools develop sports teams, in addition to coaches, venues and training time, basic equipment such as jerseys and ball equipment are also indispensable expenses, which is a big burden for the school. Therefore, he and Wu Jiande actively seek support from local businesses to supplement grassroots sports resources so that children will not be affected by lack of funds or equipment. They hope that through enthusiastic corporate investment, more children can confidently stand on the court and perform to their fullest.

Wu Jiande pointed out that school team students have to take care of their schoolwork, engage in training after school, and even participate in competitions during holidays. In addition to the children's own efforts, this also requires the support of parents, coaches, schools and all walks of life.
