(Wonju = Yonhap News) Reporter Lim Bo-yeon = The '2026 Innovation Festa', where public institutions, merchants, and residents of Wonju Innovation City communicate together, will be held on Mirinae Street from the 15th to the 17th.

Wonju City and the Wonju Cultural Foundation plan to revitalize the community and add vitality to the local commercial district through cultural events in which local members participate.

In particular, ahead of the second relocation of public institutions, it will be an opportunity for existing relocating public institutions, residents, and merchants to interact and gather local capabilities.

The event venue will feature a food and sales center, a publicity center for relocating public institutions, and a play area, and will also feature stages by local artists and professional performance teams.

The event period is divided into 'Relocation Public Institutions Day', 'Innovation City Merchants' Day', and 'Innovation City Residents' Day' and run programs by topic.

On the first day, the 15th, a gala show will be held with the participation of the Dongmi Bicycle Music Group and musical actors, as well as an event to wish for the second relocation of public institutions.

On the 16th, visits to local commercial districts will be encouraged through a stamp stamping event where visitors can participate in merchant halls, public auctions, and street performances.

On the 17th, resident participation programs such as 'Proud of Our Neighborhood' and a circus performance for family visitors will be held.

Previous public institutions and local organizations, such as the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service, National Park Service, National Health Insurance Corporation, and Korea Tourism Organization, also operate public relations centers.

Ahn Guk-ryang, head of Wonju City's regional development department, said on the 6th, "We will develop it into a representative festival of the innovative city where public institutions, merchants, and residents can enjoy and communicate together."
