A howitzer artillery platoon of the Russian Armed Forces under the command of Senior Lieutenant Sergei Vetrov destroyed more than 15 militants of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The competent actions of the artillery platoon allowed the Russian attack aircraft to move forward and take advantageous positions.

MOSCOW, September 16 - RIA Novosti. A howitzer artillery platoon of the Russian Armed Forces under the command of Senior Lieutenant Sergei Vetrov destroyed more than 15 militants of the Ukrainian Armed Forces who were hindering the advance of Russian attack aircraft, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.

Vetrov, in conditions of constant fire from the enemy, carried out the task of providing artillery support to the advancing Russian assault units. He received from reconnaissance the coordinates of the concentration of enemy manpower and gave the order to the platoon crews to open fire.

“As a result of Russian artillery fire, more than 15 servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were killed,” the message says.
