Qualified fraud operation in 15 provinces: 244 suspects caught

The statement made on the social media account of the Ministry of Internal Affairs included the following statements:

In the operations carried out by our Police against "Qualified Fraud" crimes in 15 provinces, 244 suspects who were found to have defrauded our citizens of 523 million TL were caught.

From the suspects;

-174 of them were arrested.

-Judicial control provisions were applied to 54 of them. Others' operations continue.

In addition, based on MASAK reports, it was determined that the suspects had a transaction volume of 10 billion 500 million TL in their accounts.

As a result of the work carried out by the Provincial Police Department Public Order Branch Directorates, under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security Public Order Department, MASAK and the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the suspects caught in operations organized in 15 provinces;

-Placing vehicle, house, spare parts sales and car rental advertisements on social media and fake websites,

-With the promise of high profits,

-Introducing themselves as public officials or bank officials,

-It was determined that they were defrauding our citizens by introducing themselves as representatives of internet/communication companies.

We continue our fight with determination against criminal networks and illegal structures that make unfair profits by victimizing our citizens, and we do not tolerate criminals.
