Child Abuse and Obscenity Investigation via Telegram in Istanbul

Within the scope of the investigation carried out by the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the crime of obscenity, the work was carried out by the teams of the Istanbul Provincial Police Department's Anti-Cyber ​​Crimes Branch Directorate.

In the studies, S.K. on the virtual media platform called Telegram. It was determined that the suspect named sold photographs and videos containing child abuse and obscenity in exchange for money. Money transfers are made by S.K. It was determined that it was made to the bank account registered in his name. Within the scope of the investigation, suspect S.K. was arrested by the Criminal Court of Peace to which he was referred on April 21.

10 SUSPECTS WERE DETECTED

Search and seizure orders were taken against the suspects who were determined to have sent money to S.K.'s account. Digital materials belonging to the suspects were seized in simultaneous operations. During the investigations, 10 suspects who sent money to S.K.'s account were identified. In the simultaneous operation against the suspects on September 30, 8 people were caught and detained. While efforts to capture the other 2 suspects continue, 8 suspects in custody were referred to the Criminal Court of Peace today with a request for their arrest.
