In response to this growing ski craze, the Taiwan Ski Association launched "iSNOW 2026", hoping to create a ski culture exchange platform for Taiwanese ski enthusiasts. Through videos, lectures and activities, skiing is no longer just an overseas trip for a few days every year, but can further become a life culture of exchange, learning and sharing. iSNOW 2026 first launched the "Ski Culture Video Exhibition", which publicly solicited the ski video "My First Experience of Skiing" from Taiwanese snow lovers, inviting everyone to record through their own lenses their first contact with skiing, their first time setting foot on a snowfield, and their unforgettable skiing stories in life. The collection period is from now until 23:59 on October 11. The selected works will be announced on October 14. Popularity voting will be conducted from October 15 to 28, and an award ceremony will be held on November 7. Zheng Wenfeng, chairman of the Taiwan Ski Association, said, "Since 2000, Taiwan's skiing population has grown by more than 20% every year on average, and the current overall ski market value is estimated to be approximately NT$15 billion! Since Taiwan does not have natural ski resorts, ski tourism, ski resort accommodation, transportation and related Consumption mainly occurs overseas. It is estimated that the output value of the ski-related market in Taiwan currently accounts for about 1/3, approximately NT$5 billion. "With the increase in the skiing population and the gradual expansion of repeat skiing groups, Taiwan's ski market is also moving from "one-time experience" to "hobby and lifestyle". Consumer demand is no longer just about “where to ski”, but extends further to ski resort selection, ski education, coaching courses, equipment, parent-child skiing and in-depth travel to snow countries, gradually forming a complete market that combines sports, tourism, education, equipment, community and culture. "iSNOW 2026" launched by the Taiwan Ski Association will hold a series of ski-related themed lectures and exchange activities across three months from November to January 2027, covering different aspects such as introduction to skiing, ski resorts and snow country tourism, ski education and cultural exchanges. Lecturers and industry insiders in related fields will be invited to share experiences and the latest information, allowing beginners to experienced snowboarders to find a space for communication and learning.

iSNOW 2026 stated that the theme of this call for applications is "My First Experience of Skiing", and anyone who loves skiing can participate.
