SUKHUM, September 27 – RIA Novosti. A tourist from the Orenburg region, who disappeared in Abkhazia, was found murdered, the republic’s Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

It is clarified that 26-year-old Amina Bikbova, who was vacationing in the resort town of Gagra, had not been in touch for several days. Relatives contacted law enforcement agencies, and the police conducted a search. As a result, operatives established the circle of people with whom the missing woman communicated.

“A resident of the city of Gudauta, suspected of murder, was detained. <...> The suspicion of the operatives was aroused by a temporary resident and worker in the city of Gagra, Abukhba Edgar Garevich, born in 2001, a resident of the city of Gudauta, who on the evening of September 23 met with Amina Bikbova on Ardzinba Avenue, after which they left by taxi. The latter was taken to the department of internal affairs, where during interrogation he admitted to the murder,” says the video published in the department's Telegram channel.

According to the suspect’s testimony, he, while in a rented apartment in the village of Psakhara, strangled a girl during a quarrel. Trying to hide traces of the crime, on the morning of September 24, he took the girl’s body in a friend’s car to the Bzyb Gorge area and left it in the bushes near a country road. At the same time, as Abukhba said, he threw the girl’s phone and things into a trash container.
