Lavrov announced Macron’s attempts to dissuade African leaders from participating in the Russia-Africa summit

French President Emmanuel Macron, during his trip to Africa, will try to dissuade the leaders of the continent from participating in the Russia-Africa summit. This was announced by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at the embassy round table on the situation around Ukraine.

“Mr. Macron traveled to Africa, and our suspicions, which are based on some facts, are that he will do his best to dissuade our African friends at the highest level from coming to the Russia-Africa summit,” said the head of the foreign policy department.

Lavrov also added that Russia sees its African partners as independent and independent states, so Moscow does not resort to such methods.
