Former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko accused the director of NABU Semyon Krivonos of extorting a bribe in the amount of 72 thousand dollars for the allocation of a land plot in the Kyiv region.

MOSCOW, September 15 - RIA Novosti. Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko, who resigned and left the country, accused the director of the Ukrainian National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU), Semyon Krivonos, of extorting a bribe in the amount of 72 thousand dollars for the allocation of a land plot in the Kyiv region.

Kravchenko previously stated that he had prepared an accusation against NABU director Semyon Krivonos for forging official documents and fictitious adoption. In turn, the head of NABU Krivonos called the accusations from Kravchenko falsified nonsense. Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree on Monday removing Kravchenko from the post of prosecutor general of the country. On Monday evening, the office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine denied bringing charges against the head of NABU, saying that the corresponding marks were also excluded from the state register.

The video published on the Telegram channel of the Prosecutor General talks about Krivonos extorting a bribe in the amount of 72 thousand dollars in 2014 for the allocation of a land plot of 0.25 hectares in the village of Tarasovka in the Obukhovsky district of the Kyiv region. The video says that during this period Krivonos headed the registration service of the Obukhov city district department of justice. According to the Prosecutor General, Krivonos was supposed to involve a figurehead in the scheme, in whose name the land plot would be registered free of charge, with subsequent sale. In addition, the head of the Starobezradichevsky village council, Pyotr Gorbachenko, had to ensure the convening of a session of the village council and the adoption of a decision at it on the free allocation of land to a figurehead.

According to Kravchenko, those involved in the scheme planned to reduce the expert assessment of the site in order to pay less taxes, for which they brought in a person who valued the site at half its real value. As reported in the video, the transaction was not completed because the person from whom the money was extorted turned to law enforcement officers and began to act under their control, and the participants in the scheme became aware of the exposure.
