The European Union seeks to provide interceptor missiles to Ukraine amid stock shortages

She added that "the main problem is air defense," and that Ukraine suffers from a shortage of interceptor missiles.

She added that the European Union knows that some countries have interceptor missiles that will expire soon, and said that “it would be very good” to provide these missiles to Ukraine, so that it can use them to “protect civilians,” as she claimed.

She indicated that the European Union is also conducting contacts with countries outside the Union with the aim of obtaining interception missiles for Ukraine, noting that these efforts are facing difficulties.

She added that work is underway to develop and assemble European interceptor missiles in cooperation with Ukraine.

Vladimir Zelensky had stated that the Ukrainian forces' stock of interceptor missiles had decreased by 2.5 times compared to 2025.
