From September 2 to 4, local time, Ding Xuexiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Vladivostok. He co-chaired the 13th meeting of the China-Russia Investment Cooperation Committee with Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Manturov, co-chaired the 23rd meeting of the China-Russia Energy Cooperation Committee with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Novak, and attended the opening ceremony of the 8th China-Russia Energy Business Forum.
When meeting with Putin, Ding Xuexiang conveyed President Xi Jinping’s cordial greetings. Ding Xuexiang said that under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Putin, the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era has continued to deepen and become more solid. The key to China-Russia relations being able to remain unshakable in the turbulent international situation lies in the two heads of state taking the helm. China is willing to work with Russia to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, deepen the integration of interests between the two sides with solid measures, and continuously build a foundation for the development of China-Russia relations to a higher quality. China and Russia have broad prospects and great potential in strengthening cooperation in the development of the Far East. Putin said that this year marks the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Russia-China Treaty of Good Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation.
