She escaped from captivity and contacted the police.

St. PETERSBURG, September 9 – RIA Novosti. Employees of the criminal investigation department of St. Petersburg detained three residents of the Moscow region who kidnapped a St. Petersburg woman in March because of unrequited love, who later escaped from captivity, the press service of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation reported.

As the department noted, two men, 54 and 40 years old, and their 40-year-old friend, who are suspected of the March abduction of a 49-year-old resident of St. Petersburg, were detained in the Moscow region.

Then the woman was ambushed at a house on Moskovsky Prospekt, threatened with a knife, put into a car and taken to the apartment of a 54-year-old resident of the Moscow region, Chekhov.

“According to operational data, it was he who became the organizer of the crime, which he decided to commit because of unrequited feelings for a St. Petersburg woman,” the GUMVD said.

The department clarified that the woman escaped, taking advantage of the inattention of the kidnappers, and turned to the police for help.
