Peskov: The meeting between Putin, Wytkov and Kushner confirms the existence of an atmosphere of trust

"The fact that the meeting was held means that the atmosphere of trust, at least on this communication channel, already exists and is being strengthened," Peskov told the Russian Vesti channel.

He added: "Some understandings have already been reached in Anchorage. It is now difficult to determine their applicability, whether from the Ukrainian or American point of view. But some elements of these understandings, at least, will always remain on the agenda."

Putin met with Witkov and Kushner yesterday, Saturday, in the Kremlin, and Russian Presidential Assistant Yuri Ushakov said after the meeting that the two sides discussed possible ways to settle the Ukrainian conflict, describing the talks as “fruitful and characterized by trust.”

Ushakov added that during the meeting, Putin stressed the need to remove the root causes of the conflict, and also presented a clear assessment of the situation in the special military operation area, noting the progress of Russian forces.
