The Swiss voted against stricter neutrality

According to preliminary results of the referendum, almost 70 percent of the Swiss opposed tightening the principle of neutrality in the state constitution. The data is published by the federal portal VoteInfo.

68.70 percent voted against and 31.30 percent supported the initiative. The turnout was 46.60 percent.

On September 25, it became known that if a decision is made to tighten neutrality, Switzerland will actually prohibit itself from independently introducing sanctions against the Russian Federation.
