Israeli bombing and incursion into villages and towns in southern Syria

Local sources reported to RT that the occupation forces bombed the vicinity of the village of Samdaniya al-Sharqiya in the central Quneitra countryside with an artillery shell, coinciding with military movements witnessed in other areas in the governorate.

During the past hours, an occupation force penetrated the village of Umm Batna in the central countryside of Quneitra, while Israeli forces fired flares into the sky of the town of Al-Rafid in the southern countryside of Quneitra.

The town of Al-Rafid also witnessed an incursion by an Israeli patrol, during which it searched a gravel and sand dump in the area, in addition to interrogating a number of truck drivers present at the place, before continuing its movements.

The escalation spread to other areas, as areas in the western Damascus countryside, near Beit Jinn, were subjected to Israeli bombardment, while more than ten shells fell in areas west of the city of Nawa, in the area extending between the town of Al-Rafid and the village of Al-Mu’allaqah, according to the information received.

Local sources indicated that the bombing was carried out from the direction of Tulul al-Hamar in Quneitra Governorate, and focused on agricultural areas in Batha al-Wadi and the Yarmouk Basin in the western countryside of Daraa.

These movements and bombings come in light of the continuing field tension in the regions of southern Syria, with repeated incursions, overflights, and bombings carried out by the Israeli occupation forces in a number of villages and towns in the Quneitra and Daraa governorates.
