The Central Meteorological Administration predicts that it will still be sunny to cloudy in various places tomorrow (30th), and the temperature will be 35 degrees during the day. However, two waves of northeast monsoon relay will be reported after Thursday night, and it will turn rainy in the north and Yilan on the windward side. After the northeast monsoon weakened and the rain slowed down slightly over the weekend, the next wave of northeast monsoon will usher in next Monday, and the daytime temperature in the north and Yihua will drop.

Wang Pinxiang, a forecaster from the Meteorological Administration, said that due to the influence of the northeast monsoon in the coming week, the chance of rainfall on the windward side will increase. Among them, the weather will still be sunny to cloudy during the day from tomorrow to Thursday. It will be affected by the northeast monsoon from Thursday night, and the windward side will start to rain in Greater Taipei and Yilan. On Friday, it will continue to be affected by the northeast monsoon, and the chance of rainfall will increase in Greater Taipei and Yilan. In particular, Yilan should pay attention to local heavy rains, and there will be some short-lived showers in the southern region and other mountainous areas in the afternoon.

Wang Pinxiang pointed out that the northeast monsoon weakened slightly on Saturday. Under the influence of the easterly wind environment, there were still some short-lived showers on the north coast of Keelung, the eastern half, and the Hengchun Peninsula over the two days on the weekend. There were also some short-lived showers in the southern areas and other mountainous areas in the afternoon. Next Monday and Tuesday, another wave of the northeast monsoon strengthened. There were some short-lived showers in the northern part, the eastern half, and the Hengchun Peninsula during these two days. Yilan may have local heavy rains, and there were some short-lived showers in the southern areas and other mountainous areas in the afternoon.

As for the temperature, Wang Pinxiang pointed out that tomorrow the western half will still be about 34 to 35 degrees during the day, but due to the influence of the northeast monsoon from Thursday night, the temperature will drop to 29 to 30 degrees during the daytime in the north and the central and southern parts. Although the northeast monsoon weakened over the weekend, the daytime temperature in the northern and eastern half will be limited, only 30 to 31 degrees during the day. Affected by the next wave of northeast monsoon next Monday and Tuesday, the temperature in the north and the daytime will drop to 27 to 28 degrees.

Wang Pinxiang said that Shuliji continues to move toward the northeast and is expected to weaken into an extratropical cyclone within 2 days. In addition, a tropical system is brewing in the sea east of Guam. It is not expected that there will be significant development in the next 2 or 3 days. The follow-up still needs to be continuously observed.

Wang Pinxiang reminded that tomorrow will still coincide with the annual spring tide, and the high tide water levels along the coast from New Taipei to Changhua and Penghu will be higher. In coastal areas, be careful of seawater intrusion.
