The meeting of the leaders took place at the summit site - the Bharat Mandapan Convention and Exhibition Center in New Delhi.

The leaders of Russia and India last met less than two weeks ago; on August 31, they met on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Bishkek.
