20-day marriage ended in bloodshed: He shot his wife and then committed suicide

It took place in a flat of a 6-storey apartment building in Bahçelievler District of Bahçe district. According to the information obtained, an argument broke out between Salih Aker (29) and his wife Aliye Aker (27) in the morning for an unknown reason.

After the argument quickly turned into a fight, Salih Aker allegedly shot his wife with a gun. Salih Aker, who then called the ambulance and asked for help, shot himself with the same gun. Upon notice, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that the couple, who was taken to Bahçe State Hospital by medical teams, died. The bodies were sent to the morgue of Osmaniye Training and Research Hospital for autopsy.

Their neighbor Elif Gök, who lives in the same apartment building, said that they heard them arguing all the time: "When I woke up around 05.30 in the morning, I opened the window. I saw that there were police teams and an ambulance in front of the apartment building. When we wondered and investigated the incident, we learned that a person living on the 6th floor of the same apartment building first shot his wife and then shot himself. This couple had only been married for 20 days. However, it was said that there were frequent arguments between them. In fact, this was a topic that the people living in the apartment talked about among themselves. They argued almost every night and "There were rumors that they were fighting," he said.
