Moscow Nephrology Center increased admission for hemodialysis to 200 patients per day

MOSCOW, September 14 - RIA Novosti. The nephrology center of the capital's Yudin Hospital has almost doubled its intake for kidney therapy, and now up to 200 patients a day can receive life-saving therapy here, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development Anastasia Rakova told reporters.

She noted that in recent years Moscow has been forming a new approach to organizing specialized medical care. The city is developing a network of competence centers for the treatment of certain groups of diseases.

“One of the key areas is the development of opportunities for patients who require renal replacement therapy. Thus, the capacity of the hemodialysis department at the hospital named after S.S. Yudin has doubled. Now up to 200 patients a day can receive life-saving renal replacement therapy here,” said the vice-mayor.

At the same time, according to Rakova, the center’s capabilities are not limited to hemodialysis. On the basis of a multidisciplinary hospital, patients can consult with various specialists, as well as undergo the necessary diagnostics and high-tech surgical treatment.

“Such an integrated approach allows us to ensure continuity of treatment and select the necessary medical care taking into account the condition of each patient,” the deputy mayor emphasized.
