The Fifth Brigade of the Tainan City Fire Department conducted this year's "Disaster Prevention Personnel" training course and successfully called on 200 enthusiastic people, all of whom successfully passed the certification, building a solid first line of defense for disaster prevention and relief at the grassroots level.

The course was launched at the Yongkang District Social Education Center. The training content covers the analysis of the characteristics of common disasters in Taiwan, the formulation of community and family disaster prevention plans, the establishment and operation skills of community evacuation shelters, as well as CPR, AED first aid operations, and hemostatic bandaging practices, etc.

Chen Kunzong, captain of the Fifth Battalion, said that the Great Hanshin Earthquake occurred in Japan in 1995. The "721 Rule" of post-disaster data highlighted the limitations of public sector rescue in the early stages of the disaster. It promoted the certification of disaster prevention personnel, cultivated people's basic first aid and evacuation guidance capabilities, and established a private self-rescue and mutual aid mechanism to exert the strongest disaster prevention and rescue resilience in times of crisis.

Participants in the training conducted personal exercises under the guidance of professional lecturers and had lively interactions on site, which not only greatly improved their individual adaptability in the face of disasters, but also cultivated a good understanding of disaster prevention teamwork.
