The event integrates cultural and artistic performances, intangible cultural heritage experiences, and regional collaboration. Taking advantage of the transportation conditions brought by high-speed rail, it promotes the exchange and sharing of resources along the line, deepens the coordinated development of regional cultural tourism in the Qinling Mountains, and promotes the integrated development of cultural tourism and specialty industries in mountainous areas.
Shanyang County, located at the southern foot of the Qinling Mountains, is the only county with Shanyang Station and Manchuanguan Station on the entire West 10 High-Speed Railway line. After the opening of the high-speed railway, the local area has been officially integrated into the Xi'an half-hour and Wuhan two-hour transportation circles. The transportation shortcomings that have long restricted the development of the Qinba mountainous area have been made up. The efficiency of the flow of people, logistics, and information has continued to improve, laying the foundation for cross-regional cultural and tourism cooperation.
The event had a strong literary and artistic atmosphere, with outstanding literary and artistic teams from Shenmu, Ankang, Shangluo and other places taking turns to take the stage. The "Song of Spring" in Manchuan major highlights the local provincial intangible cultural heritage charm of Shanyang, and the Zhashui Fishing Drum "A Beat of Fishing Drums for Thousands of Years" conveys the cultural heritage of thousands of years of folk art. The melodious tunes of various programs combine the charm of intangible cultural heritage and the atmosphere of local fireworks, vividly showing the unique humanistic features of the Qinba hinterland.
He Wanru, a staff member of the Zhen'an County Cultural Center, participated in this performance. "In the past, we had to walk on the winding mountain highway to perform here. The journey of more than 100 kilometers often took three or four hours, which was time-consuming and laborious." He Wanru said that with the opening of high-speed railways in various parts of the Qinling Mountains, cross-regional travel has become more convenient, and it has been smoother for cultural and artistic teams to go out to perform, which is conducive to the spread of local culture to the outside world.
An intangible cultural heritage market was set up simultaneously with this event. Intangible cultural heritage handicrafts, cultural and creative products and local specialties from Shangluo counties and districts were displayed and sold in a concentrated manner, attracting many tourists to stop and choose, and experience the charm of Qin and Ba traditional skills up close. Local specialty products such as tea, walnuts, persimmon wine, and Chinese medicinal materials were all on display. With the help of this large-scale cultural and tourism event, high-quality mountainous product resources were promoted to the outside world.
"In the past, products were basically shipped out through highway logistics. Relying on the passenger flow brought by high-speed rail, I plan to put the products into stores in scenic spots to create an additional sales channel." Liu Litao, an exhibitor in Shanyang and the operator of the Persimmon Wine Workshop, said that in the past, the export channels for the workshop's products were relatively single, and he hopes to rely on the growing passenger flow into the mountains to expand the sales of specialty agricultural products.
At the event site, the cities along the West 10 High-speed Railway jointly signed a cooperation framework agreement for the collaborative development of culture and tourism under the "High-speed Rail Linkage·Culture and Tourism Collaboration", and will deepen cooperation in areas such as cultural exchanges, publicity and promotion, product routes, and mutual transportation of tourists. Relying on the West-10 High-Speed Railway, cities along the line will open cultural and tourism communication channels between the Guanzhong Plain urban agglomeration and the middle reaches of the Yangtze River urban agglomeration, promote cultural and tourism collaboration in the Qinling Mountains region, and realize the interconnection of tourist sources and resource sharing.
Based on the unique ecological endowment of Qinling Mountains, Tianzhu Mountain continues to promote the creation of national 5A-level tourist attractions. Relying on the gorgeous red leaves in the mountains, a series of policies to benefit the people are launched during the red leaf season, such as free high-speed rail tickets, self-driving subsidies, cash rebates on ticket purchases, and free connections.
Shanyang County officials stated that as the transportation advantages of the West-10 High-Speed Railway continue to be released, the local area will continue to revitalize the ecological and local folk resources of the Qinling Mountains, deepen the cultural and tourism collaboration of cities along the route, and make the Qinba landscape and local culture visible to more people.
