The 2026 Colorful Guizhou Photography Exhibition and the First Land Art Season will open in Hongjiang Village, Libo on September 28

China News Service, Guiyang, September 24 (Reporters Zhou Yanling and Yang Qian) The reporter learned from a press conference held by the Propaganda Department of the Guizhou Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China on the 24th that the 2026 Colorful Guizhou·19th China Original Ecology International Photography Exhibition and the first "Colorful Guizhou Land Art Season" will open on September 28 in Hongjiang Village, Libo County, Guizhou Province. By then, the entire village will become an exhibition hall, connecting the world with images and revitalizing the local area with art.

Hongjiang Village, located between the karst mountains, is a village inhabited by the Buyi people. The photography exhibition integrates Xiaoqikong's famous tourist attractions, Buyi villages, terraced fields, folk customs, and artists' daily lives into the exhibition, breaking the boundaries of traditional exhibition halls and turning the entire village into an outdoor real-life narrative space. The Land Art Season with the theme of "Colorful Life and Shared Beauty" relies on the original texture of the village to transform landscapes, old houses, old walls, folk customs, etc. into artistic carriers.

As a cultural brand built by Guizhou over a period of 19 years, the theme of the 19th China Original Ecology International Photography Exhibition is "Guizhou Travel in Light and Shadow". This year's exhibition goes beyond simple humanities and scenery photography and focuses on focusing on people's living life. More than 1,000 works (groups) are displayed online and offline, and there is a theme exhibition and two special exhibitions to three-dimensionally show the life picture of people in Guizhou from sightseeing to in-depth living. The special touring exhibition "Human Memory - China's World Heritage Site" and "Silk Road Together" - Central Asian Image Invitational Exhibition will be held to build a bridge for mutual learning between Chinese and Central Asian civilizations. Simultaneously build a VR panoramic digital exhibition hall to create a never-ending cloud image exhibition.

In addition to breaking the limitations of traditional exhibition halls and turning the entire village of Hongjiang into a "rural art museum without walls + open video exhibition hall", the above two activities also adhere to open symbiosis and sharing by the people, allowing the public to become not only visitors and participants, but also creators and enjoyers. The photography exhibition launched the "I Lived in Guizhou" AI image co-creation experience, hiring photographers, self-media experts, artists, farmer painters, and village representatives as recommendation officers, encouraging tourists to record the Hongjiang River, and making actual production and life scenes become public creative materials; the Land Art Season not only has permanent art works created by famous artists such as Wang Huaxiang, Li Xiangming, and Wang Lin, but also brings together teachers and students from universities, middle schools, primary schools, and kindergartens to create works.

During the event, supporting activities such as forums, roundtable dialogues, and salons will be held. The China-ASEAN High-level Academic Forum and the Third Hongjiang Forum will bring together domestic and foreign experts and scholars to discuss ways to revitalize local culture. The sojourn roundtable dialogue and AI imaging salon will conduct exchanges around the sojourn industry, converting "flow" into "retention", and artificial intelligence image creation.

In addition, the two activities abandon the one-time thinking of holding exhibitions and conferences, adhere to the combination of effective government and effective market, explore and gradually build a "five-party co-construction, sharing and win-win" operating system of Guizhou Tourism Group, local cultural tourism enterprises, resident artists, village collective economic organizations, and local people, expand the food, housing, transportation, travel, shopping and entertainment formats, and ultimately realize the enrichment of the people and the development of villages through art.
