The reporter learned from the meeting that the 2026 World Intelligent Connected Vehicle Conference is co-sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Transport, and the Beijing Municipal People's Government. It will be held at the Yizhuang Beiren Yichuang International Convention and Exhibition Center in Beijing from October 21 to 23.

Hao Lishun introduced that recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and relevant departments have compiled and released the "15th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicle Industry", which proposes goals and tasks such as building a global industrial chain and supply chain, improving overseas development service capabilities, and supporting foreign-funded enterprises to invest and cooperate in China.

He said that under this vision, officials will promote closer cooperation in the industrial and supply chains. Facing the "15th Five-Year Plan", foreign-funded enterprises will be supported to deeply explore the Chinese market, rely on China's complete industrial chain foundation and ultra-large-scale market advantages to innovate technologies, optimize products, and share industrial development opportunities; actively guide domestic automobile enterprises to learn from international advanced experience, enhance independent innovation capabilities and comprehensive competitiveness, and promote Chinese technologies and brands to better enter the international market.

At the same time, the government will promote the international development of enterprises to be more stable. He introduced that currently, Chinese cars have been sold to more than 200 countries and regions around the world, and Chinese companies have also invested in vehicle and parts manufacturing in more than 80 countries and regions overseas. During the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, the government will improve cross-border logistics, investment and financing and other supporting support, while strengthening overseas risk prevention and corporate compliance construction, and guiding enterprises to conduct overseas deployment in a steady and orderly manner.

"The development of intelligent connected new energy vehicles across regions and markets is inseparable from the unified specification and collaborative governance of global standards and regulations." Hao Lishun pointed out that in recent years, China has actively participated in international standards and regulations activities to promote the formulation and coordination of standards and regulations for autonomous driving and electric vehicles.
