Tatarstan is planning an exhibition of avant-garde art from the State Museum of Fine Arts in Abu Dhabi in 2027

KAZAN, September 7 – RIA Novosti. Tatarstan plans to present paintings from the State Museum of Fine Arts of the republic on Museum Island in Abu Dhabi in 2027, reports the press service of the head of the region.

The head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov on Monday, on the sidelines of the annual investment forum AIM Congress in Dubai, met with art critic Zelfira Tregulova, who participates in organizing exhibitions and world-class cultural projects.

“At the meeting, a project for an exhibition of avant-garde painting from the collection of the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan at the Bassam Freiha Art Foundation on Museum Island in Abu Dhabi was discussed. This foundation implements a program of exhibitions and supports young artists,” the message says.

Minnikhanov noted that the collection of the State Museum of Fine Arts of Tatarstan is one of the most striking museum collections in the Volga region. It presents about 150 works.

“I am sure that the implementation of this project will be of great importance. It will strengthen the cultural dialogue between Tatarstan and the United Arab Emirates, and will attract the attention of an international audience to the artistic heritage of Russia through regional museum collections,” he said.

Tregulova spoke about the principles of the foundation’s work, noting that it is not commercial, and all exhibitions and visits organized by it are free.
