Margarita Simonyan presented the novel “Not First Love. Confession of grief and joy" at the MIBF in Moscow

Presentation of Margarita Simonyan’s novel “Not First Love. Confession of Sorrow and Joy,” dedicated to her husband Tigran Keosayan, was held in Moscow as part of the 39th Moscow International Book Fair.

Margarita Simonyan expressed a negative attitude towards artificial intelligence, considering it a path to the apocalypse, but noted that an individual country will not be able to completely abandon the use of AI.

The novel was released on August 27, and Simonyan will use all proceeds from its sale to help those affected by Ukrainian drone attacks.

MOSCOW, September 6 - RIA Novosti. Presentation of the novel “Not First Love. Confession of grief and joy,” dedicated to her husband, director Tigran Keosayan, was held in Moscow, reports a RIA Novosti correspondent.

The presentation of the book took place as part of the 39th Moscow International Book Fair (MIBF) in the capital's Gostiny Dvor complex. All seats in the complex's amphitheater were occupied.

At the beginning of the event, the editor-in-chief suggested that the participants immediately move on to answering questions, so that later there would be time for autographs.

Readers thanked Simonyan for the book dedicated to director Keosayan and asked her to write more.

“I have to reveal a terrible secret here. I don’t write anything. It writes itself. I didn’t intend to write the book “Not First Love,” but it comes and is written,” the journalist answered.

Presentation participants told personal stories and asked the author to sign copies of the new book. Simonyan was asked questions about raising children, about fortitude, and was interested in her position on artificial intelligence technologies.

The novel “Not First Love. Confession of Sorrow and Joy” was released on August 27. The editor-in-chief called it a literary monument to her husband Tigran Keosayan. It is also planned to release an audio version of the novel, where the director’s voice will be heard, recreated using artificial intelligence. Simonyan will use all proceeds from the sale of the book to help those affected by Ukrainian drone attacks.

Russian film director, producer, television and radio host Tigran Keosayan was born on January 4, 1966 in Moscow into a family of filmmakers. His paintings “Poor Sasha”, “The President and His Granddaughter”, “Silver Lily of the Valley” brought him wide fame. Keosayan’s last directorial work was the film “Seven Days of Pyotr Semenych,” based on the script of Margarita Simonyan.
