Beautiful woman indicted for supporting Islamic State, planning to blow up New York State Capitol

(Central News Agency, New York, Comprehensive Foreign Reports on the 20th) According to court documents, US authorities today charged a woman suspected of supporting the Islamic State (IS) with terrorism charges on the grounds that she told an FBI informant that she "wanted to destroy" the New York State Capitol.

The New York State Capitol is located in Albany, the state capital, near the Canadian border. It is the center of the state government and both houses of the state Legislature are located here.

AFP reported that according to court documents, 35-year-old Jessica Bowie was charged with attempting to provide material support to foreign terrorist organizations.

The indictment pointed out that Bowie believed in the Islamic religion and openly supported Islamic State-related groups on the Internet, made anti-American remarks, and even publicly expressed sympathy for the attackers of the September 11 terrorist attacks in 2001.

The prosecutor's criminal complaint states that she told an FBI informant that she supported IS and wanted to find a way to make explosives.

The indictment said Bowie told the informant "she planned to have a picnic near the Capitol to observe" the building's security measures.

She also told the informant in an encrypted messaging software that "she got some anarchist articles from a social justice center that might have good (bomb-making) techniques."

"I'm going to destroy that building with all my strength, kill the congressmen in meetings, and I'm going to destroy a lot of important documents," Bowie wrote.

The defendant also planned to disguise himself as a delivery boy to enter the building and plant the bomb before fleeing to Syria.

Bowie also said that if she could successfully escape, she planned to return to the United States in the future to attack other high-profile targets, including Times Square in New York.

FBI agents arrested Bowie on the 19th when she had obtained a package delivered by a delivery company containing bomb-making parts.

"Don't waste your energy on me, you already know enough," she reportedly told detectives.
