Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Social Welfare Council held ‘25th Gangwon Social Welfare Conference’

(Yanggu = Yonhap News) Reporter Yang Ji-woong = The Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Social Welfare Council will hold the '25th Gangwon Social Welfare Conference' to commemorate Social Welfare Day at the Yanggu-gun Youth Gymnasium on the 11th.

This competition was designed to encourage the hard work of workers, volunteers, and sponsors who have dedicated themselves to the social welfare field in the province and to increase the interest and participation of provincial residents in social welfare.

About 1,000 people, including social welfare councils from 18 cities and counties and workers from social welfare facilities, institutions, and organizations in the province, as well as social welfare officials, volunteers, sponsors, and local residents, are expected to attend the event.

A variety of programs will be held, including a social contribution certificate, a commendation from the governor, and an award from the head of the council, as well as a declaration of the Gangwon Welfare Vision, a hope message performance, a social welfare promotion and experience booth, cultural performances, and a unity event for social workers.

Park Seung-yong, president of the Gangwon Social Welfare Council, said on the 9th, “Through this competition, we will further strengthen solidarity and cooperation between each city and county social welfare council and social welfare functional organizations, listen to local voices, and actively discover welfare services and cooperative projects that meet local needs.”
