A suspect in the murder of a father of five children was detained in Volgograd

In Volgograd, a man was detained on suspicion of murdering a father of five children. The regional department of the Investigative Committee of Russia writes about the initiation of a criminal case regarding the crime.

“A criminal case has been opened against a 32-year-old local resident. He is suspected of committing crimes under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder) and Part 1 of Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal possession of firearms),” the statement says.

The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Irina Volk, clarified that the tragedy occurred during a conflict in the store.

Earlier it was clarified that the unknown person began to behave aggressively towards people at the checkout counter in the Magnit supermarket. A man who came to the store with children reprimanded him, after which the participants in the conflict went outside. The brawler took out a weapon and shot the Volgograd resident six times.
