According to an investigation by the Taichung District Prosecutor's Office, Huang drove his friend surnamed Kang (54 years old) from Wanhua, Taipei, to Fengyuan, Taichung in the early morning of August 4 last year. He saw Zhan Zhizhi entering the supermarket to make purchases at about 10 a.m., and was waiting at the door. When Zhan walked out of the supermarket door, he stepped forward to push Zhan and sprayed pepper spray on Zhan's face.
Upon seeing this, Zhan Zhizhi took the opportunity to hide back in the supermarket. Huang entered with a hidden watermelon knife and slashed Zhan's left hand and left foot twice with the knife before driving away. After being sent to Fengyuan Hospital of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Zhan Nan died of massive blood loss due to a ruptured aorta in his left foot at 11:30 that day.
After investigation, prosecutors from the Taichung District Prosecutor's Office concluded that Huang Xiangyuan was charged with injury resulting in death and was transferred to the court in accordance with the Civil Judge Act. The trial will be held by a National Judge for three consecutive days starting today.
When the court opened today, the prosecutor presented relevant evidence. The prosecutor found that as early as July 24 last year, Huang Nan drove south from Taipei, accompanied by a friend surnamed Li, to Zhan Nan's Fengyuan residence to survey the terrain, which was obviously a premeditated crime.

Then he took out the watermelon knife from the bag, first cursed the Three-Character Sutra, and then asked, "Are you Zhan Zhizhi, right?" Then he slashed his left hand and left foot four times with the knife. Zhan fell to the ground after being chopped, and the floor of the supermarket was stained with blood. He lost all signs of life at the scene because he hit the left femoral and popliteal artery, causing massive bleeding. He was still dead at the hospital. Zhan Zhizhi's autopsy photos were also played in the court, and Huang Xiangyuan lowered his head and did not dare to look at them.
Kang Nan, who was traveling with him, said that Huang Nan told the person who had sexually harassed the employee before to teach him a lesson, and asked him to help catch the person if he resisted, but he only watched from the outside and did not do anything. He also said that Huang Nan originally said that he would give him a red envelope, but he did not get it later.
