In Krasnoyarsk, the ceiling collapsed in a four-story building during a major renovation. The Kras Mash Telegram channel drew attention to the situation in the Russian city.

According to the source, during the overhaul of the roof, workers left the kitchen in one of the apartments without a ceiling. “It turns out that everything has collapsed, and they installed supports (in the form of wooden beams). I come home from work, look, and my ceiling has already begun to collapse, the ceiling has begun to drop a little,” said the owner of the damaged apartment. The builders who carried out the work claim that rotten floors are to blame for the incident, the repair of which was not part of the terms of their contract.

The day before, a similar situation occurred in a 70-year-old house on Michurina Street, located nearby. It is clarified that the roof repairs in the building were carried out by employees of the same contractor.

As a result of both incidents, there were no injuries, but some items became unusable and residents had to throw them away. The local Investigative Committee opened a criminal case regarding the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements.
