Participants in the kidnapping of actor Sergei Veldin have been charged in Moscow

In Moscow, investigators charged members of a criminal group with illegally imprisoning a man. Lenta.ru was informed about this in the capital department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia.

We are talking about the forcible seizure of actor Sergei Veldin, who was kept in a rented apartment on Tverskaya Street. The attack on him was organized by a Muscovite with whose husband the artist was drinking, REN TV clarifies.

Anna B., 30, ordered a special forces detention-style prank service online to intimidate Veldin into breaking off his friendship with her husband. The men regularly organized get-togethers for friends, after which the Muscovite woman’s husband began to abuse alcohol again and eventually ended up in a rehabilitation center. She rented an apartment and paid 30 thousand rubles to order a theatrical “special forces”.

In order to lure the actor into a trap, a dating scene was staged on social networks. On September 18, a girl named Alina invited Veldin for a walk, and after coffee and Tverskoy Boulevard she invited him to her place. There, Sergei was attacked by three men wearing masks and uniforms with the inscription “Special Forces”.

They handcuffed the actor, took away his phone and hit him in the face, demanding that he stop communicating with his drinking companion, backing up his words with threats with a pistol. The attackers also promised to plant drugs on him and send him to a pre-trial detention center. The “performance” lasted an hour and a half; after Veldin’s assurances that he would fulfill the demand, he was released.

Law enforcement officers detained a Muscovite and three accomplices, and are looking for another participant. During interrogation, Anna and the others called the incident a prank.

The Investigative Committee noted that a preventive measure was chosen for all detainees.
