Russian President Vladimir Putin opened a meeting of the Pobeda organizing committee via video conference.

The meeting is scheduled to include a report by the head of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Gennady Krasnikov, on the results of the examination of applications for the title “City of Labor Valor.”

Issues of popular voting for conferring the title and improving the legal regulation of excursion and tourism activities in Russia, as well as the creation of a national tourist route “Far Eastern Victory” will be considered.

MOSCOW, September 4 – RIA Novosti. Russian President Vladimir Putin opened a meeting of the Pobeda organizing committee via video conference.

In addition to the opening remarks by the head of state, a report by the head of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Gennady Krasnikov, is planned on the results of the examination of applications from cities that apply for the title “City of Labor Valor.”

In addition, according to presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov, the first deputy chairman of the Federation Council, secretary of the General Council of United Russia, Vladimir Yakushev, will report on the popular vote for conferring the title, and the governor of the Primorsky Territory, chairman of the State Council Commission on Tourism Oleg Kozhemyako will talk about improving the legal regulation of excursion and tourism activities in Russia and the creation of a national tourist route "Far Eastern Victory". A report by the executive secretary of the Russian Search Movement, Elena Tsunaeva, is also planned.

At the last meeting of the organizing committee in January 2025, Putin awarded the title of “City of Labor Valor” to Verkhnyaya Pyshma, Zelenodolsk, Ishimbay, Kurgan, Leninsk-Kuznetsky, Miass and Salekhard.
