Blue House denies reports of decision to send troops to Strait of Hormuz... Related issues not decided

On the 3rd, the Blue House said that the report in some media outlets to the effect that 'the Korean government decided to send troops to the Strait of Hormuz' was "different from the truth."

After making this announcement in a notice that day, the Blue House explained, “No related issues have been decided.”

The Blue House then reiterated its existing position, saying, “Our government has been closely discussing with the international community how to quickly restore free navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and make practical contributions to peace and stability in the Middle East.”

Earlier on this day, a media outlet reported that the government was taking a positive approach to dispatching troops to the Strait of Hormuz and was reviewing the contents in order to submit a motion to dispatch troops to the National Assembly soon.
