Hot water outages in Russia will become shorter

Hot water outage periods will become shorter in most major Russian cities over the next five to seven years. The first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing and Communal Services, Vladimir Koshelev, told RIA Novosti.

According to Koshelev, the duration of hot water outages will be reduced from two weeks to three to five days. The deputy noted that this will become possible thanks to the introduction of modern diagnostic methods, such as acoustic tests and in-pipe robots. Such methods make it possible to identify weak points without large-scale opening of the soil, he explained.

Koshelev emphasized that by 2035, residents of new buildings and renovated neighborhoods will forget about the “summer period without hot water.”
