Zakharova explained the discrepancies in assessments of the meeting between Lavrov and Rubio

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, named the reason for the discrepancies between the comments of the Russian department and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio following their meeting. She shared her opinion in an interview with Vladimir Solovyov on the Solovyov Live channel.

“I think it’s just the American style to highlight only what they specifically need right now. Our comment really represents the main milestones of the conversation,” the diplomat said.

We are talking about negotiations between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Rubio in New York on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly. Zakharova also did not rule out that the American side may issue additional clarifications following the meeting.
