[Reporter Nian Miaoyun/Reporting from Taipei] The National Sports Administration of the Ministry of Sports held a press conference for the National Finals of the Presidents Cup 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament today. The competition will be held on Ketagalan Avenue in front of the Presidential Palace this weekend. A total of 160 winning teams from counties and cities across the country will compete in an exciting and fierce peak showdown to compete for the highest honor of the year.

Hong Zhichang, executive deputy director of the Ministry of Sports, said that the Ministry of Sports continues to promote policies such as "nationalization of competitive sports" and "equal rights in sports", making sports not only a display of competitive strength, but also a lifestyle and sports culture shared by all. Since 2014, the Sports Department has organized the Presidents Cup in conjunction with current popular sports, encouraging people of different ages and ethnic groups to express themselves on the court, challenge their limits, and experience the fun of competition, which is a concrete manifestation of the implementation of the policy. We also hope that through the hosting of the event, we will continue to expand the number of people participating in sports, and encourage people to find their own way of exercising and enjoy the health and happiness brought by sports.

Taipei War Horse player Wang Kaizheng, who has participated in the competition for two consecutive years, said that competing in Kaidao is a very special experience. There should be a lot of people on site, which will make the players even more excited. He has also participated in other 3-on-3 events in the past and accumulated a lot of game experience. Regarding preparations for this game, he said: "I am always ready and have no doubts about the next game, because I believe that what I prepared can be used on the court. The next step is to go on the court and do things that I have probably done tens of thousands of times."

Highlights of this event include cooperating with the National Sports Development Center to jointly plan multiple sports experience courses in the south and north squares in front of the Presidential Palace, such as basketball training camp, aerobic exercise, sports protection, running training, pickleball, and the challenging and interesting Mini Harco, so that people of different ages can experience different sports and experience the charm of different sports.
