However, she could not get through her mobile phone or the phone number in her hometown in Guangfu. She thought, "No, it's impossible." After three long days of suffering, she and her brother decided to go back to Hualien to find her parents. After returning home, I know that my parents went to the farmland on Fozu Street to plant vegetables that morning as usual. Just thinking about how unprepared my parents were when faced with the sudden flood makes me very sad. "It has been a year and I still can't accept that they are gone. I haven't hugged them or said goodbye to them properly"!
After the disaster last year, at the beginning, enthusiastic volunteers from the private sector helped to raise funds for excavation. However, as the private fundraising geeks gradually left the field after October, she was as anxious as an ant on a hot pot. She looked for help everywhere, including Hualien County Magistrate Xu Zhenwei. After late October, the Hualien County government finally stepped in to take over, using private donations to hire geeks to continue excavating in the disaster area. Currently, there are still three geeks digging at the site.
She said that there was almost no progress in the early stages of excavation. She had no idea where her parents were on the hundreds-of-hectare site and could only infer from the direction of the water flow. However, she had a job in Taoyuan and had three children studying in college, high school and elementary school. The torment of traveling between the two places made her almost breathless. Even in Taoyuan, she still asked the driver every day, "Did you dig anything today?"
After July this year, her father's pants, mother's bag, father's car door, battery, fan, license plate and other parts were successively dug up, which raised hopes for the family. However, the Hualien County Government informed at the beginning of this month that "the strange operation is expected to be terminated on September 23." Lin Yi said that she really couldn't accept it. Finally, progress was made. How could she give up now? She believed that "my parents must be waiting for me" and "hoped to take my parents home one day."
In this regard, Hualien County Fire Chief Wu Zhaoyuan said that the fire fighters hired by the county government were stationed in October last year. Currently, the three fire fighters include two 300 models and one 200 model. They cost an average of more than 2 million yuan a month and more than 20 million yuan in nearly a year. The cost was covered by private donations; because the family members were unwilling to give up, the county government Yesterday, we held a meeting with family members to coordinate. The five missing persons, including Lin Chengde, Cai Yumei and his wife, and Gao Jingui, all expressed that they would continue to dig and search. The family members hope to add a 300-type monster to the search and extend the search and rescue until the end of this year. With the approval of Chen Bao County Government, it is expected that four monsters will be excavating at the same time starting next week.
