Pilot operation of a reporting hotline... Improving the intellectual property protection system

(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Se-rin = Coupang announced on the 13th that it held a 'Brand Protection Seminar' with the Korea Cosmetic Association on the 10th to discuss ways to protect intellectual property rights of domestic cosmetics companies and respond to counterfeit products.

At the seminar, Coupang introduced a three-stage response system that includes proactive prevention to block the entry of counterfeit product sellers, detection through artificial intelligence (AI) and monitoring, and product blocking and seller sanctions when reports are received.

In addition, in order to quickly respond to reports of counterfeit products, they announced that they have decided to pilot a dedicated hotline that can be used even on weekends, public holidays, and late evening hours.

Coupang plans to reflect the opinions of brands collected at the seminar in the process of detecting and responding to counterfeit products and to improve the intellectual property protection system by holding regular seminars with major brands.
