Sobyanin: More than 3,000 drones trying to target Moscow were shot down within a week

Sobyanin wrote on the Max platform: “Between 8:30 a.m. on August 15 and 8:30 a.m. on August 22, 2,652 marches flew toward Moscow. Most of them were shot down by air defense forces from long distances.”

He added that during this period, 493 drones were shot down as they approached Moscow.

Russian Defense reported earlier today, Saturday, that Russian forces shot down 1,053 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory during the last day, while Russian forces continued to strike sensitive infrastructure sites used by Kiev forces.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces daily target residential neighborhoods, vital civilian facilities, industrial institutions, and energy facilities in the Russian border areas and in depth, using drones and missiles.

In response, Russian forces launch strikes exclusively on Ukrainian military installations and defense industry enterprises, using precision-guided weapons from the air, sea and land, in addition to drones.
