Budget revenues from migration procedures increased by 30 percent

The income of Russian budgets at all levels from migration procedures has increased by 30 percent over the past year and a half. First Deputy Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Head of the Migration Service of the department Andrei Kikot spoke about this at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, RIA Novosti reports.

In total, during this period the state received 321 billion rubles, primarily for patents. Of these, 60 billion went to the federal budget, and the rest to the regional ones. Putin called this result “decent.”

In turn, Kikot promised to scale up this work and spread the experience. “I can confidently say that the legal part of labor migration will grow, and, accordingly, the income part will also increase,” the official concluded.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Economic Development, Maxim Reshetnikov, indicated that it would be difficult to ensure the growth of the Russian economy without the use of migrants; some kind of import of the working population is necessary. In his opinion, the personnel reserve in the country has been exhausted, and it will be difficult to find new resources in the domestic market.
