Various special activities in September also include Taoyuan Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Lian Hsin International Hospital and the police department jointly organizing fingerprint registration and arranging dementia-friendly entry activities; Chungli Evergreen Hospital and Quanlian Welfare Center cooperated to invite people with dementia to serve as "one-day store managers"; Taoyuan Hospital of the Ministry of Health and Welfare planned activities such as brain health education, music, handicrafts and nostalgic five senses. The Health Bureau explains that those who are registered in Taoyuan City and are diagnosed with dementia for the first time in 2026, and are connected to a dementia community service base or long-term care service after diagnosis, are eligible to apply for a one-time subsidy of NT$3,000. Currently, there are 11 dementia shared care centers and 39 dementia community service bases in Taoyuan City, which provide medical assistance, caregiver support and other services.
